Understanding the Different Types of Covid Tests

There are several different types of covid tests that are available.

The most common type is the PCR test, which can be used to detect the presence of the virus in your body. This type of test is very accurate, and here at Number One Lab, it will take 24 hours to get results.

Another type of covid test is the antibody test. This test can be used to see if you have been infected with the virus in the past. The last type of covid test is the antigen test. This test looks for pieces of the virus in your body. This type of test is not as accurate as the PCR test, but it can give you results more quickly.

FAQ

How is COVID-19 testing in Number One Lab performed?
In the case of PCR testing, we take a specimen (nasal swab), put it in a hermetically sealed tube, label it, and send it to the laboratory area for testing. Once the testing is complete, we issue results via email.
Do you report to clients or to their healthcare providers?
In case the testing was held by the recommendation of the provider, and we have access to the provider’s contact details, we necessarily inform the provider about the testing results.
Can you establish a new testing line by request?
Yes, you may discuss with our representative your necessity for another testing line, and we will do our best to meet it.
